NDIS and Warramunda

Warramunda has been caring for the Kyabram and district community since 1963 as a not-for-profit residential aged care home and retirement village.

In 2016, Warramunda added Home Care and in 2017 NDIS, to our list of registered services. Our local and friendly team assist elders to stay in their homes for longer, by providing a variety of care and practical services.
Our friendly team is available to assist prospective clients or their carers, navigate funded services.

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support for Australians with a disability, their families and carers.

NDIS funding is subject to eligibility criteria.

What’s on the menu?

Personal Care

We are delighted of offer a range of personal care services including: assistance with bathing, dressing, shaving, grooming, mobility, eating, drinking, toileting, prescribed therapy programs, fitting and use of appliances, hearing aids and communication devices, administer medications from multi dose Webster packs, and assistance in undertaking the tasks of daily living.

Home Care

Home care assistance tasks can include the following:
vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning of bathroom, toilet and shower, changing bed linen, laundering of clothes and bed linen, cleaning kitchen including wiping bench tops, ironing, unescorted shopping.

Care Planning

Assessment information is used to formulate an individualised care plan in consultation with the client or representative and other health care providers as appropriate. The care plan is confidential and only accessible to those staff and healthcare providers providing care.

Medical Care

Home support staff may attend medical appointments with clients.

Allied Health Providers

Home Support Staff are available to attend Physiotherapy, podiatry and other allied health appointments.

Leisure and Interests

Clients may wish to attend a diverse range of individual, group and community focused activities. Our Home Support Services staff are available to accompany clients on lifestyle and leisure pursuits.

Hydrotherapy

A hydrotherapy pool is available to Clients. Sessions can be scheduled Monday to Friday, supervised by trained allied health assistants.

Clothing and Laundry

Home Support Workers may be engaged to do laundry for clients.

Meals and Meal Preparation

Home Support Workers can be engaged to assist in heating up meals, shopping for groceries and meal preparation.
