Warramunda Village Inc is a not for profit organization providing quality residential aged care to the local community for over fifty years. The name Warramunda is an aboriginal word meaning tomorrow. Warramunda is run by a voluntary Committee of Management ensuring that current and future needs are met and planned for in line with contemporary practice.
The genesis for Warramunda emerged from a meeting of a group of community minded citizens in October 1959. A fact-finding committee was formed and a public appeal for a 2 wing hostel was launched in 1960. The hostel housing 22 Residents and 4 Independent Living Units were built and officially opened in 1963.
Over the years the hostel has continued to expand and is now home to 61 Residents (59 permanent and 2 respite) who each have their own spacious room and ensuite. A new dementia specific wing, the Rockman Wing, was opened in 2008 providing  an holistic approach to residential aged care for another 12 Residents.
Today there are 56 one and two bedroom units in the complex.
